Making Affordability a Reality
Dexter believes in
Greenville is thriving!!
But too many families are being pushed to the edge in the process.
Voters deserve leaders who will fight to keep housing, groceries, childcare, and transportation affordable. That means ensuring smart, responsible development, protecting long‑time residents from being priced out, and making sure wages keep up with the cost of living.
When we make Greenville affordable for the people who live and work here, we strengthen our neighborhoods, support our local businesses, and protect the character of the community we love.
Dexter will:
Protect Legacy Homebuyers: Create policies that help long‑time residents stay in their homes, including property‑tax relief for seniors and legacy homeowners.
Increase Transparency in Growth: Require developers to publicly disclose affordability impacts so residents understand how projects affect cost of living
Boost Local Wages Through Skills: Promote workforce development and expand workforce development programs and employer partnerships to match local workers with high-paying career paths.
Expand Workforce & Mixed‑Income Housing: Partner with nonprofits, builders, and employers to increase housing options for teachers, nurses, first responders, and service workers.
