Since 1996, Dexter Reaves has dedicated his life to serving the people of District 21 and the greater Upstate community. As a Detention Officer with the Greenville County Detention Center, Police Officer and Boot Camp Director with the City of Greer Police Department, Deputy with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office and County Constable, with Greenville County Summary Court. Dexter has been a steady, compassionate presence in strengthening neighborhoods and helping families navigate challenges with dignity and support. His career in law enforcement shaped his belief in hard work, integrity, and the power of strong community connections — values that continue to guide him today.

Dexter’s commitment to service extends far beyond law enforcement as he has served as Executive Director of Pleasant Valley Connection, Inc. and an Intervention Specialist with the Greenville County School District. In these roles, he advocates for families, supports youth development, and works to expand opportunities for underserved communities. Residents often describe him as a leader with a “heart of gold,” a testament to his compassion and hands‑on approach.

A proud graduate of Latta High School, Dexter earned a bachelor's degree from Benedict College and later completed a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry at North Greenville University. Dexter is also the founder of S~R `Executive Services, LLC, providing professional, reliable security and private investigations services to organizations across the State. He remains deeply engaged in civic and community organizations, including the Mu Pi and Phi Alpha Chapters of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Tuscan Lodge #21, the Greenville Benedict College Alumni Club and OneSpartanburg.

His commitment to people and his passion for service have earned him deep respect across law enforcement, education, and nonprofit leadership.
